REQUEST – Need SUGGESTIONS for hotel in Savannah

I am looking for suggestions of nice places to stay in Savannah for anniversary weekend in mid-August. In looking at the Savannah Area Vistor’s website, they give good facts and prices but I’m looking for some first-hand feedback. Surely some FW person or another has gone to this lovely southern city and has a tip about where to stay for a couple of nights.

Certainly I see there are some $400 per night rooms — if those are just wonderful then I’d consider. If they are first-hand rated as way overpriced, then that helps too. I’m not really interested in the Days Inn or Super8 (okay for my road trips but not for a 25th anniversary!)

Business School or Purchase Multi Unit Investment Property? Both?

Looking for some insight from anyone who has been in my current situation. I’ve for sometime now wanted to purchase my first property (2-unit) and work towards establishing a rental unit. The market is finally reaching a state where I can reach cash flow, and with the $8K tax credit, and low FHA financing rates, this seems like a great time to get my foot in the door.

On the flip side, I’ve also decided that I want to start my MBA before I hit 30 and get into “family mode”… (currently 27)

The dilemma is financing. If I start school in 6 months I will begin racking up some big loan debt and it will become very difficult to get approved. Right now I have no debt and good credit, so in the eyes of the bank I’m a great candidate for such a loan.

My gut tells me if I want to get my first multi-unit that I should pull the trigger before grad school and take advantage of a depressed market. By the time I graduate the housing market will likely be on an upswing and multi-units in Chicago my be out of my affordability range again.

Is or has anybody been in this current dilemma? Is it possible (sane) to pull off both? Would love to hear any feedback. Thanks gents and ladies.

What I have found so far in my research:
I was able to get a $858 R/T price from Kayak.com w/ Delta Airlines on the specific dates..

I also had found a $835 price on Vayama.com whcih I can’t seem to locate anymore.

This seems a little high- I’m wondering if there are any deals out there that anyone may be aware of for flights to that area of the world (I am not familiar with it AT ALL.)
